Blasto AG was founded in 1983. At the time, Heinz Huber took over the management of the small awnings and blinds firm on Spinnereistrasse in Rapperswil-Jona.

In 1987, the foundation for today’s business was laid and the straightforward idea to offer party marquees for hire in the classifieds became an instant success. Private customers around Lake Zurich started hiring marquees for their garden parties. In the following years already, the demand for larger party marquees, rental furnishings, new locations and a full-service provider rose steadily. The first milestone of the Blasto success story was laid.
